A number of volunteer groups will be attending to offer advice and guidance to everyone who wishes to volunteer their services.
All members of the public with any kind of interest, even if they just want more information are welcome to attend. Talks will be held once every hour on volunteering, how to get involved and how it can help you.
Groups attending include : Princes Trust, Barnsley Hospital Foundation Trust, Barnsley Hospice, Young Volunteers Agency, Mind, Barnsley Beacon, PCT Barnsley Churches Drug Project, RSPB, Making Space, Barnsley Central Scout Group, Age Concern, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Barnadoes and Barnsley Volunteer Centre.
Refreshments will be available during these talks for those who wish to attend. Those interested should come along the University Centre Barnsley on Church Street, next to the Town Hall to find out more. Volunteering is hugely rewarding and just a little time can make a huge difference to someone’s life.
