Natasha Johansson has not just two but six strings to her bow.
The multi-talented A-level student can play six instruments and has just used her skills to win the UCB Song Writing Competition organised by the University Centre’s music department.
Natasha pop-rock song ‘Hello’ beat off competition from Sheffield, Wakefield, Rotherham and Barnsley.
As the winner Natasha won the opportunity to use the University Centre’s brand new industry standard recording and mixing studios. Pete Birkby, Senior Lecturer at UCB and competition organiser told us, ‘Natasha’s song really stood out from the crowd. I think she was a very bright future ahead of her.’
Natasha managed to sing and play every instrument on the track (apart from the drums) to complete her song.
Natasha told us: ‘I’ve been playing acoustic guitar since I was seven but I never expected to win this. It’s very exciting’.
