Tom graduates this year from the University’s BA(Hons) Interdisciplinary Art and Design course. The Art and Design Graduate Degree Show opens on Thursday 12 June whilst prestigious London gallery Plus One open their Summer Showcase on Tuesday 10 June, both events showcasing Tom’s work.

Tom excels in photo realist paintings and has already sold four of his collection. He explains, ‘During my final year I’ve been really focussed in my work and the direction I wanted it to take. I visit London at least once a month to see different shows and get different inspiration. I have put 110% in this year. I really couldn’t have worked any harder. This week has been quite stressful as I couldn’t take my work to London until it has been examined here at the University, but it’s all worth it.’

Tom has also been offered the opportunity of a solo show next year dependant on the success of his work over the coming year.

Art and Design Principal Lecturer, Lynn Rollin told us, ‘Tom is very hard working and incredibly ambitious and professional. He is quite a unique student and we are very proud that his work will be exhibited London.’
